AnswersForElders.com is a comprehensive site that provides information and expert advice for adults caring for elderly parents. I was asked to design a new module for the site that would help guide users to specific information and contacts in their area regarding elder parent care, including retirement homes, insurance, and financial and legal services.
This project involved designing three mockup pages that would fit in with the overall site, yet give the module its own distinct look and feel. All three pages contain information organized in the same manner but with variations depending on whether specific expert information is available.
I used gradients for the content titles to give the module pages a contemporary feel and designed icons for the sidebars titles to distinguish them from the main content. Each page has a sidebar checklist with information specific to that page.
- Category page - displays when the user clicks Decision Guide in the top menu. The user selects the appropriate location and a category, and is sent to either an Expert page or Default page.
- Expert page - contains general information and articles, plus specific information for an expert in that category.
- Default page - contains general information and articles only.
