Web Design
I greatly enjoy designing web sites and place a strong emphasis on creating sites that are user-friendly, visually pleasing, and consistent in layout and design. My knowledge of information design, graphic creation, typography, and content writing enables me to design sites from concept to completion that clearly reflect the organization's goals and branding. My strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a distinct advantage in arranging site navigation, content, and files in a logical and clear manner. View my web design portfolio.
I am proficient in the use of HTML/XHTML and CSS, and use Dreamweaver mainly as a tool for hand coding HTML and CSS. I use CSS to build my sites' structure and make minimal use of tables. I streamline coding and use PHP includes to minimize bandwidth. My sites are W3C standards-compliant and and pass W3C validation for HTML/XHTML and CSS. They meet Section 508 accessibility standards, provide scalable text, and fit in an 800 x 600 monitor.
